Base preparation and steel
The pool area is excavated and prepared before reinforcement is installed ready for concrete.
A clear guide to popular tiled in-ground pool sizes, premium glass mosaic finishes, optional heat pumps and realistic budget levels before survey.
A tiled in-ground pool gives a far more premium finish than a standard liner pool. It creates a permanent, high-end feel and can become the centrepiece of a garden.
Our pools are designed for customers who want a proper tiled finish, clean lines, a compact pool equipment setup and a bright reflective water appearance.
Glass mosaic tiles create depth, colour movement and a brighter water appearance.
In-ground construction with concrete, reinforcement and tiled finish.
Pump and filtration equipment housed neatly together in a compact tech box.
Guide prices for popular sizes before survey and final specification.
For a premium finish, we recommend a glass mosaic tile such as H531 Ibiza Part Iridescent 23.5mm Glass Mosaic.
The iridescent glass reflects light through the water, creating depth, movement and colour variation. This gives the pool a brighter, cleaner and more luxurious appearance than a flat or basic tile finish.
Customers are welcome to source tiles directly, or we can help source them at cost once the final tile style and finish has been confirmed.
Our swimming pools are not just designed to look exceptional when finished. They are built using a structured installation process from excavation and reinforcement through to the final tiled finish.
The pool area is excavated and prepared before reinforcement is installed ready for concrete.
The reinforced concrete base is installed to create the foundation for the pool structure.
The pool wall system is set out on the slab and checked as the shell begins to take shape.
Wall sections, reinforcement and pipework are built up before the concrete works continue.
The full pool shell becomes visible as the structure progresses through the main build phase.
The structure is prepared for the next stages, including services, concrete, tiling and finishing works.
The prices below are guide prices for the main pool construction. They include the core construction works but exclude the purchase cost of tiles and the optional air source heat pump, which are shown separately.

The guide prices include a standard excavation and spoil removal allowance. Additional groundworks may be required depending on site access, ground conditions, water table, retaining requirements, drainage, soil removal or levels around the garden.
Where suitable, we can also look at re-using some of the excavated soil to form a landscaped earth barrier or bund. This may help reduce waste away and can also help create a degree of water diversion or flood protection, subject to soil suitability and final site levels.
Landscaping around the pool is not included in the main pool price but can be quoted separately.
Subject to final site survey, design confirmation and supplier availability, we would estimate:
| Site survey, final design and confirmation | 1–2 weeks |
| Ordering pool kit / materials | 2–4 weeks |
| Pool construction programme | approx. 4–8 weeks |
| Additional groundworks, if required | subject to scope |
Estimated overall lead time from confirmation is usually around 8–14 weeks, depending on supplier lead times, site access, weather, ground conditions, concrete curing times and the final scope of works.
The first step is to arrange a short discussion and site review. Following this, we can confirm suitable pool size, access for excavation, soil removal, equipment location, tile choice, heat pump requirement, landscaping requirements and final specification.
This page is intended as a guide price only. All prices are subject to confirmation following a full site survey, access check, ground condition review, supplier confirmation and final design.
Changes to pool depth, specification, access, ground conditions, materials or customer requirements may affect the final price. Supplier prices and material costs can change, so all pricing is subject to confirmation at the point of order.
